Geographical Introduction

There are several perceptions among the mass people behind naming the upazilla.  One of them is that it has been named after Mr. Fulgaz iMajumdar, a social elite of this area.  Tripura border in the west of the upazila, about 5.50 km (approx) east of India, Tripura border, distance 8.50 km (approx), Parshuram upazila on the north, Feni Sadar upazila on the south.
